It depends.
- If you had the same employer in both states: Figure out the number of weeks worked in each state, then divide the wages by those weeks.
- Option 2 - review your pay stubs and use the last one you received in one state, subtract those wages from the W-2 and the balance goes to the other state after the move.
- For any job where you worked in only one state those wages belong to the state where you lived when you worked there.
