I moved to Texas from Arizona in November of last year. I am supposed to enter the Arizona portion of each federal amount shown. What does this mean?

When you input your income onto your federal return it is added together. Therefore, when you file in more than one state return you need to allocate your total income between the states. The system wants to know how much income was earned in Arizona during the tax year. You should look back at your Arizona W-2 or other income forms in order to answer this question. Please follow the directions below if you need to return to the income section of your return to view your Arizona wages:

  1. Click on the Federal tab on the left side of the screen
  2. Click the Wages & Income tab from the top of the screen
  3. Click the Edit/Add box beside the income you need to view.
