I moved to MI Sept 2017, I had a primary home in NC, I got married in May 2018 in MI, I sold my NC home in June 2018, no gains, do I have to claim this as NC income?

No. According to the North Carolina website, nonresidents are only required to file a state return if they have income or capital gains from the sale of a property to report. Please view the North Carolina link below for more information.
