I moved to CA end of 2020. It says my HSA contributions from while living

- [ ] It says my HSA contributions from when I was working and employed by my employer in New York will be taxed in CA. However, the contributions were made in New York while working for my New York employer, and no contributions were made after moving to CA. Do I still need to pay CA tax on those HSA contributions?

You are not paying tax on your HSA contributions in California.

A California part-year resident determines California tax by multiplying the California taxable income by an effective tax rate.

The effective tax rate is the California tax on all income as if you were a California resident for the current taxable year
