I moved in 2020 to a new apartment in the same city, but my address on the 2019 1040 is using that new address when i still lived in my old apartment in 2019.
Do I need to change my address so that it doesnt effect my 1040?

You don't need to change your address. You are suppose to put your current address on your return, that is the address the IRS or State would send you a letter if they needed to contact you. It is fine with your new address on your return.
