I moved from NJ to NC at the end of July 2016. I have no 2016 income from NC. Do I still have to file an income tax form?

You must file a North Carolina return if:

-You made any income while living in North Carolina (it doesn't have to be from North Carolina sources) -AND-

-Your total income for the entire year is at or over $8250 (Single), $16,500 (Married Joint)..

If you had no income while living in North Carolina, then no, you would not need to file a NC return.
