I'm I done with NYS filing?

The TurboTax electronic filing instructions indicated that I would need to sign and date E-file signature authorization within 1 day of acceptance (never had this message in years past). I have just received an email from TurboTax indicating that my 2020 New York personal return was accepted .  Doesn't this mean that  I'm officially finished filing my 2020 NY personal taxes and I do not need to submit my E-file signature?

Technically speaking you need to sign the paper authorizing the e-file.  It's the equivalent of signing the tax return.  And you don't send it anywhere.  You keep it for your records in case the state were to ask for it (highly unlikely, but is still possible).
