I'm getting a message saying my SD 100 number is wrong, but it's not, I've verified it on the Ohio Dept of Tax website

My district is Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District and the correct verified number is 1806, but again TurboTax is saying I need to check my entry.

The reason this error might appear is either because School District 1806 is not a taxable district or the number is incorrect.

 

I could not locate School District Number 1806 on the Summary of School District Income Tax Election Results. Districts that are taxed at a 0% rate are not listed.

 

Please use the The Ohio School District Tax Finder and enter your home address to confirm this is the correct district number. If it is listed at a 0% tax rate, you should not file a School District tax return.

 

To remove your school district tax return, please follow these steps:

  1. Open your tax return.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. Click on Delete a Form. 
  4. Scroll down to your state forms and look for the SD-100 form and click Delete. 

Once you delete your SD-100, you should have no further error messages and will be able to e-file your state return.
