I lived/worked in PA for all of 2018. I owned a home in NJ which I rented for 6 months, and I sold it. How do I show this on a state return Should it be PA or NJ?

All of your income is taxable to Pennsylvania, regardless of what state it was earned in.

You must file a New Jersey nonresident tax return if all income for the entire year was more than the filing threshold amount for your filing status. The 2018 filing threshold is $10,000 for single and married filing separately and $20,000 for all others.

Please view the New Jersey link below for more information.

Please view the instructions in the TurboTax FAQ below if you need to file a nonresident New Jersey return.
