I lived in two states in 2016. 12/1/16 to 6/7/16 in MO, 6/8/16 to 12/31/16 in AR. No Income was derived from either state. I'm retired.

Completed (Deluxe) tax software for 2016 for AR. I did not owe tax or receive a refund from MO in 2015 but I did file. Am I obligated to also file state taxes for MO this year? I'm paying the state of AR for 2016.

Yes, you are a part year resident of both states. You will allocate your income based on when it was received. For example if you have a monthly pension, Jan-June payments will be reported as MO income and Jul-Dec as AR income
