I lived in Texas from Jan to June. Mid June I moved to Oregon on my company's expenses. Mid Oct I moved to Texas. Do I need to pay Oregon tax for part of the year ?

Jan 2022 to June 2022 I lived in Texas and worked for a company headquartered in Oregon but I was attached to their Texas location and thus didn't have to pay any state income tax. Mid June my company asked me to relocate for Oregon. They paid relocation expenses and I started paying Oregon state income tax. Mid Oct I relocated back to Texas (on my own expense).  Given this situation, do I need to pay for Oregon State income tax for part of the year ?

yes you do.... you lived and worked in OR.  WHat you earned in OR as a OR resident is subject to OR income tax.

It doesn't matter where your employer's headquarters are, or what location you are "attached to." What matters is where you live and where you physically work. You have to pay state tax to any state that you live in or work in. You have to pay Oregon tax on the money that you earned for work that you did in Oregon. You have to file a part-year resident Oregon tax return.

And you did not ask, but you mentioned that you paid your own moving expenses when you moved back to TX.  Those moving expenses are not deductible, so you will not enter them on your tax return.
