I lived & earned w-2 income only in DC , while 1099-INT issued to my old address in Michigan. Can I just file only a DC return?

I moved to DC early in 2023 and only W-2 income is while I live there.  But my 1099-INT from banks are addressed to my old address in Michigan.  Can I just file a DC state return?

Where the interest was received and issued does not mean that you have to file a state tax return for the state where the interest was earned or issued to you on the Form 1099-INT.

You only need to file the DC return.
