I live in VA, work in MD and received unemployment from MD, Do I need to file MD taxes?

Maryland taxes were not taken out of the unemployment and I did pay VA taxes on all other income. The unemployment amount received is listed on Federal line 19 and VA taxes on line 7.

No. Maryland and Virginia have reciprocity. Employee-based income is only taxed by the resident state.

Also, unemployment by a nonresident of Maryland is not deemed to be Maryland source income, even if the unemployment is paid by Maryland.

Refunds of state or local income taxes, pensions, annuities, IRA distributions, unemployment compensation and Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits are not considered to be from Maryland sources for income tax purposes when these items are received by a nonresident of Maryland.

I understand that Maryland and Virginia have reciprocity, however this year (first year receiving MD unemployment), TurboTax added a Maryland tax form to the form list.  Why is it prompting me to fill out a MD form if I'm not required to pay taxes to MD (due to reciprocity)?

The program automatically suggests any state where you entered input. Better to offer it and not be needed than to not offer. You can delete the state.

I don't see a delete option, but I haven't started the MD form.  So I gather I can just ignore it?
