I live in Indiana and work remote in Massachusettes. I am filing a non-resident state tax return. How should I answer ="Total wages earned outside of Mass"?

How to answer questions - Total wages earned outside of state in which remote work is

If you did not have any taxes withheld from MA, you will not need to file a Non-Resident return for MA.

If you did have taxes withheld and you are trying to claim a refund, then you will enter the full amount of your wages as the amount earned outside of the state.

Unless your employer mistakenly withheld MA tax, you do not need to file a MA return.  MA does not tax remote workers.  If you occasionally did physically work in MA, the answer would be different.
