I live in CA, but my LLC is based in TN. Can I skip the 568 form?

Hello -

I live in CA, but my LLC is based in TN.

TurboTax keeps asking me to fill out the - 568 form. Does this apply to me?

In 2021 I only worked and made income in TN, but I lived in CA.  Can I bypass the 568 form?

I've tried but can't find any options to skip.

Thanks,

P

If all of the activity for the business is legitimately in Tennessee, then you do not need to file the California franchise form. try deleting the form outright by going to .

  1. Tax Tools
  2. Tools
  3. Delete a form

If that does not work, I would delete the California return, file both the federal and Tennessee return, then delete the LLC info from the federal. Add back the California. This way there is no record of the LLC in the California return.
