I have had a job on the boarder before and they let you claim in the state you reside in but this one i'm not sure, I was told by one person that I would claim employment in NY and reside in PA that they just only took out for PA so it's confusing because the employer state id is suppose to be where the business is operated
If you look up the address it says NY but as I previously said I have worked at another location that was also on boarder of NY and PA and the company went by where I lived, How ever I'm not sure if this company is doing the same .... So does the Employer state ID have anything to do with answering my question?
You have to go by what your W-2 says. Look at Block 15. That's the state that is getting your tax money and the one you have to file to get money back. If you live in a different state, you may also have to file a state return there and claim the income made in another state.
