I have a bond that is exempt from SC state income tax, but it is subject to federal tax. How and where do I enter that on my state return?

First, enter it in the Interest and Dividends section in the federal interview.   Then when you go through the South Carolina state interview, look for a screen that says ''Here's the income that South Carolina handles differently''.   Scroll down to the bottom, and click Start/Revisit next to Other Subtractions under the Misc label.  Enter the amount of interest that you need to exclude from SC income and enter a description of the bond.
