I get paid from a company out of state monthly but my work is split between same state where I reside(CT) and NY. Do I have to figure out how much work was from NY?

Working for a company in NY as an independent contractor working from home in CT..  Some work is in CT where I live and some work is in NY. I get paid monthly for the total amount of hours I worked. How will Turbo Tax distinguish how much actually came from out of state after entering the 1099-MISC?

It's up to you to keep track of the days you worked in NY.  TurboTax has no other way of tracking or obtaining that information.
