I filed an extension for Fed and State (NY). I received a confirmation from Turbotax for Fed, but not for State. Am I good?

Unfortunately, no.

New York has their own system.

You can e-file an extension through the Department of Taxation and Finance. You can also print an extension with TurboTax that you'll mail in. Start your NY return (if you haven't already done so) and look for the extension question. If you don't see it, step through your NY return again from the beginning. The extension must be filed by April 15 and gives you another 6 months (October 15). If you owe them taxes, submit payment by April 15 to avoid penalties. You can pay when you e-file your extension or pay through their Online Services site.

When I click thru the steps for state extension, I get to the "File an Extension" page with the instruction "File your extension for the state of New York." The 'state of New York' is hyperlinked. When I click on that hyperlink, I am brought to a page that says "Looks like you've already applied for an extension...Your status is currently Accepted." I am not asked anywhere to print or mail anything.  Am I looking in the wrong place?? THANKS for your super quick replies on tax day!

Then you are good. The efile was accepted.
