I earned $650 in CT on a single day as a consultant. I live in NYC and file jointly with my spouse, who did not earn any income in CT. Do I need to file a CT return?

I received a 1099-NEC from the income source.

No.  Connecticut requires a non-resident income tax return from married-filing-joint taxpayers who have gross income from Connecticut sources in excess of $24,000.
