I don’t think l should owe any state taxes in Louisiana since there is no state taxes for federal pensions in Louisiana, right?

Do I have to pay Louisiana state taxes on any social security benefits I received?

You are correct, per this excerpt from the Louisiana Department of Revenue, pension income from federal pensions and social security are not taxed in Louisiana:

My federal pension was included in my Louisiana state return in Turbotax.  What did I do wrong when filling out the 1099 R for my Federal Pension?  How does Turbotax know to remove my federal pension from my state taxes?  Now I have to amend my 2024 State return, can I efile my State of Louisiana amended return?

In the 1099-R interview on the federal return, just after you enter the 1099-R for the federal pension, you should see a screen that asks you for the source of the pension. Enter that it is a federal pension (or whatever choices you have), ad this amount will be removed from your Louisiana return.

Of course, this works only if you have already told TurboTax in My Info or Personal Info that you live in Louisiana.

Whether or not  and how you can e-file your Louisiana state return depends on which TurboTax produce you are using: Online . or CD/download.
