I do NOT want turbotax to print my State ES payment vouchers

For Federal, I found form Est Tax Options which let me tell Turbo NOT to print quarterly Estimated Payment vouchers.

But I can't find where to do the same for my State (IL).  I don't want State Estimated Payment vouchers printed either.

As you go through your Illinois tax return, there will be a screen titled, 'A few things before we wrap up your state taxes'.  On that screen is the option for Estimate tax payments for next year.  Click Start or Revisit beside that title and go through the questions in that section.  As you go through the questions you will come to one that says Choose Your Payment Option where you can select 'no estimates'.  This will suppress the printing of the vouchers.

Alternatively, if the vouchers print anyway, you can just shred them.  Nothing about the vouchers is submitted with your tax return, they are printed simply for your convenience.

I start TurboTax, select the file, at click State Taxes and walk through the screens. However, I never see screen "A few things before we wrap up your state taxes" or anywhere to opt out of printing quarterly Estimate Tax vouchers. So will just shred them. Thanks

It may be under your Federal taxes. Near the end after the wrap-up, it says something about other uncommon tax situations. You have a to click the down-arrow and expand all the other sections to go through. You will see estimated payments listed within the options. Select Start....and then tell Turbotax that you DONT want them to generate the vouchers.

Keep in mind, the federal and state ES vouchers are only printed for your convenience - you do not need to use them and they don't affect your federal or state returns at all.

Ok Thanks for that. It seemed like I was obligated to send the payments so I was intent on turning it off lol
