I didn’t get get one of my w2 checks because I had moved to a new address and tried to get the post office to reroute it to my new address.

You can't finish your tax return until you have your W-2. You can file an extension. That gives you more time to file your tax return, but does not give you more time to pay any tax that you owe. If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late.
