I can't e-file Ohio taxes as I get the message "Form SD 100 (6701): School District Number is not a taxing School district" How do I fix this to enable e-filing?

TurboTax says I can't e-file my State taxes because my school district is Aurora (6701).  If I do not e-file I have to file by mail and select a check refund which may take several months.  How do I e-file?

You could be having an issue with school district taxes if you are located in a non-taxable district. I could not locate School District Number 6701 on the Summary of School District Income Tax Election Results. Districts that are taxed at a 0% rate are not listed.

Please enter your address in The Ohio School District Tax Finder. If your school district is listed at a 0% tax rate, you do not have to file a SD-100 and the form should be removed from your state return.

To remove a school district tax return, please follow these steps:

  1. Open your tax return.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. Click on Delete a Form
  4. Scroll down to your state forms and look for the school district form you need to remove and click Delete

Thank you!  That fixed it!
