I am filing as a Non Resident of Minnesota and have under the minimum in Minnesota Gross income. Why is Turbo Tax showing me that I owe Minnesota tax?

Thank you. I previously viewed both of those articles.  Being that the monies I have received came from a Minnesota trust/estate I ASSUME  I must use the amount of monies shown on Line 25 of the Minnesota KF to determain the GROSS monies I am required to pay taxes on. Correct?

That is correct.  See the instructions for Schedule KF, line 25, in this reference:  <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.revenue.state.mn.us/Forms_and_Instructions/kf_16.pdf">http://www.revenue.state.mn.us/Forms_and_Instructions/kf_16.pdf</a>

I  also received a second Minnesota Schedule KF (2 different trusts) which is dated  tax year 2015 (being used for tax year 2016). The tax year 2015 has what info that is listed on Line 25 of the KF tax year 2016 on Line 27 (different amounts, 2 different trusts). Can I ASSUME that I should be using that same provided info even though it is on different lines (27)?  How did Turbo Tax pick this info up as I dont recall entering when filling out my Turbo Tax question forms?
