How to get TurboTax to file my return NJ-1065 resident filing requirement

Hi, I am trying to do my return in TurboTax Business but the logic in the software seems flawed (or correct me where I am wrong).

Tax Situation

  • LLC filing as Partnership registered and owns property in MD
  • 1 Member is MD resident.
  • 1 Member is NJ resident.

We would need to file a Federal, a Maryland, and a New Jersey Return.

(We need to file NJ because they have a residency filing requirement for any partnership who has a partner who lives in NJ).

The two issues I am facing are:

  1. There doesn't seem to be a way to indicate that the income is not NJ sourced on the NJ-1065 and NJ K-1
  2. TurboTax forces me to file a NJ composite return (or at least check the box that I will file a composite return). I do not want to check the box because I will not be filing a composite return because the MD based member has no NJ sourced income.

Any help would be appreciated.
