How do I switch between sales tax deduction types?__I cannot change to state/local paid__TurboTax entered sales tax instead of state/local tax paid_$7xx vs $1,xxx_Thanks

You can switch between the Sales Tax deduction and State/Local Taxes Paid by taking the following steps: 

1.) In step-by-step mode, type sales tax in the search bar

2.) Click on the Jump To link to go directly to the sales tax section

After the entry screen for Sales Tax, it will tell you which deduction TurboTax has chosen for you. It will also allow you to change your deduction on this screen.
