How do I owe my state so much if I’ve been living here for less than 6 months, and if my address on my work files is still in Texas and I paying Texas tax’s?

Im not sure I just need clarity this is my first time owning

You must pay state tax on all income you earned in state.  Your address does not matter, you cannot just use a state address with no tax.  If you moved to a new state, you would file a part-year return and allocate the income that you earned while you were a state resident.

first, there are no state income taxes in TX, so please clarify your statement.

 

Further, what state is "my state"?  if you only lived in "my state" for part of the year, then only that income would be reported to "my state".  are you reporting the entire year's income to "my state"?
