The error is for your wages as a resident. A resident return requires all wages to equal the state wages. Your resident AL return does not include all wages.

The options are:

  • FL resident part of the year so you should file a part year AL return or
  • AL resident when you worked in FL and need to  include the income in your AL return.

Your resident state taxes all income earned while living in that state. Things to consider for residency include your drivers license, car tags, voting, established residence, etc. If you had an AL drivers license all year, they will believe you were a resident all year. If you were not, be prepared with proof otherwise and tuck it in your tax folder.
