How do i know what state my money market is from? Is it simply the state i live in?

It is tax exempt, but not from the state of IL? What box does it go in?

Those $$ should be in box 11 of a 1099-DIV form

You use "More than one state" from the end of the list of states.

There are some funds that invest only in one state...but the name of that state is part of the Fund name.

Many states allow you to break out the % of the distribution that came from that state..but IL does not allow that for mixed bond funds.

They do allow it if you own actual individual IL bonds....but those would be part of bx 8 on a 1099-INT (not in box 11 of a 1099-DIV)
