How do I allocate my state adjustments? Is it all allocated back to the state or does some of it go back to the city or something else?

I was overpaid from my previous job, but I notified them and returned the overpayment money. Now this returned money is showing up on my taxes as "NY state adjustments", and I'm being asked to "allocate" it somehow.

TurboTax is asking how much of this relates to New York. If you repaid a New York employer, then everything would be a NY state adjustment. Otherwise it would be zero (I’m assuming you only repaid one employer).
