How can I add a comment / explanation to my state IL tax return in TurboTax?

No, TurboTax can not attach comments or PDFs to an E-filed tax return.

  • If you wish to include additional documentation you must mail the return.
  • You can choose to E-file the Federal and mail the state.

Thanks for the clarification. I was able to add an explanation / comment to my federal form 2210 so not sure if this is a TurboTax issue or an Illinois e-filing issue.  Thanks again.
