Hi, I have worked at the same office in NJ at two employers and live in NYC. First withheld NJ state taxes, second did NY. Should I report all income in NJ or first empl?

How much is the taxable income to be reported at both NJ and NY? Should I report half at each place or full at each place?

No. If you lived in NYC, all of your income (no matter where it is earned) is taxable in New York and New York City.  Additionally, if you work in New Jersey, your income for both jobs is also taxable in New Jersey. However, to eliminate double-taxation, New York will give you a credit of taxes paid to New Jersey. Please ensure that you complete your New Jersey nonresident return first to ensure accurate calculations.
