Filing Hawaii State Taxes after filing extension

Hello. Hawaii does not recognize the Federal extension to May 27, 2021 so I filed an extension through Turbotax and paid my estimated tax due on form N-200V. Ends up I overpaid by a couple hundred dollars. I am ready to file my Hawaii tax but when I go back to Turbotax to do so, it does not recognize that I filed extension or, more importantly, that I already paid $2845 - it is asking me to pay the total Hawaii amount due. How do I file my Hawaii taxes through Turbotax and deduct the amount already paid so I can get a refund of the overpayment?

Enter your Hawaii extension payment in Deductions & Credits.

  1. Type estimated taxes in Search in the upper right
  2. Click on Go to Estimated Tax Payments
  3. Select Payments with 2020 state extension
  4. Choose Hawaii as State and enter the amount your paid with your extension
