I did my 2021 taxes on my laptop with the downloaded version of TT. I have all of the records and files.
The Colorado State tax form has a box to check for the Sales Tax rebate. The TT version of the form, which I printed out on my computer and can still print out, had no such box to check.
TT correctly credited my rebate. However, the state of Colorado withdrew the rebate because the box was not checked (which does not even exist on the TT version of the form). Colorado accepted the return, but changed the numbers. All because they said the box was not checked.
I have all of the records for this and, as best as I can figure it out, this is a TT Colorado State download issue. I can provide everything to prove this: my .tax file, PDF printouts, state rejection, etc. but ... there seems to be no way to report TT errors other than through this webpage?
Colorado offers an easy way to amend your filing online ... which I will do ... but it just seemed like this would be a good thing to look into for other Colorado filers who might have gotten less of a refund than expected.
So, for me this is no big deal, but someone else might have been hit with the same thing and not realized it... and lost out as a result.
