Error Flagging 1040 W-2 State Wages vs. California 540 Wages

I'm using a Turbotax 2020 Premier. When I try to transmit my 1040 and California 540, I see an error message saying that my California State W-2 wages do not match my 1040 W-2 state wages. I may have created a W-2 in error but I subsequently deleted this form. There is currently no W-2 form in my federal forms and the California W-2 is showing $0 in red. How can I fix this error?

"There is currently no W-2 form in my federal forms and the California W-2 is showing $0 in red."

So you don't have a W-2 at all?

So what does "California W-2" mean?

Yes, I currently don’t have any W-2 at all.

There was a California W-2 in the forms with zero earnings.

The problem was solved when I deleted this form.

Thanks for your help.

My error exactly

I don't have w-2 wages

I tried creating a phony one with zero wages to see if this would solve the problem - but didn't work either

It will not let me submit until I fix this

Please help

Figured out the problem

Have to delete the form (which lists w-2) that line 12 of the CA 540 points to

Apparently turbotax adds a form that doesn't belong
