E-file payment for MD State Tax

I e-filed both of Federal and State Returns.   For Federal Tax I owed, the amount was debited on my bank account right next day, but, for State Tax I owned, I don't see any debit activity yet.
Will it be eventually debited later, or do I need to mail out the payment with my personal check and rthe payment voucher?

Thank you

If you indicated payment by direct debit, do NOT send in a payment.  A lot of states are not as "speedy" as the IRS in debiting your account.

I see my direct debit info on [Part V ' Direct Deposit or Direct Debit Information (not applicable for Form 9465)], which is for Federal Tax.   Is it for State Tax, or do I need to look at another section for State Return Direct Debit?

Look in either your printed return or a PDF of your return for the MD filing instructions.  It should say how the payment was entered.

I used to be able to see the Filing Instructions on Turbo, but not seeing any more.
Where can I find them?  I looked for [SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO], but don't them anywhere.
For MD State Return, I see [DIRECT DEPOSIT OF REFUND (See Instruction 22.) Be sure the account information is correct. For Splitting Direct Deposit, see
Form 588. If this refund will go to an account outside of the United States, then to comply with banking rules, place a "Y" in this box] for Bank Account Info, but that is for Refund.

I would just give it more time.  Since you e-filed the return,  MD says "you will have until April 30th to make your electronic payment."  I'm sure the debit will show up in your account by then!

If not you should contact MD before making another payment.

Hi,

I encounters the same issue as you this year. I owed some maryland tax but turbo tax still did not deduct any amount from my account. I filed tax last year on turbo tax and got tax return. So, turbo tax should know my bank account info. Would you like to tell me how your problem is resolved?

Thanks!

Turbo Tax doesn't send your tax due or touch your account or money.  That's between you and the IRS or state.  And you can never have a tax due on one deducted from a refund.

Check the printout or PDF of your return; look for the state cover sheet with the Turbotax logo.  If you owed tax, it will show the payment information and how/when you decided to pay.  Read the state payment instructions carefully since most states cannot be paid from within the TT system and requires additional steps.
