Does the 502AE Arts and Entertainment District form still apply if I live in MD but worked at a performing arts institution in DC?

No, you don't appear to be eligible for this tax benefit.

To be considered a qualifying residing artist for purposes of Form 502AE, an individual must, among other things, conduct a business in an arts and entertainment district, defined as "an area designated by the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Commerce as an arts and entertainment district."

The District of Columbia doesn't appear to be included in this designation, but please see Arts & Entertainment Districts for more information.
