Do I have to file both a ga and s.c. state form if live in s.c. and work in ga?

Yes, you have to file a non-resident Georgia state income tax return and a South Carolina resident tax return.  Any Georgia state income taxes paid will be credited on your SC state tax return.

In the My Info section of the program you should have indicated that SC was your resident state and that you worked in another state, indicating Georgia.

The program will have you complete the non-resident GA tax return before completing the SC resident tax return.
