Do I have to file a nonresident request form for DC? I live in VA but work in DC? It also stated that I made money in both VA and DC but I only work in DC?

DC has a reciprocal tax agreement with every state so you only file in the state you live in.  Unless taxes were mistakenly taken out for DC.

If your employer withheld District of Columbia income tax, and you were not a resident of DC.
Use Form D-40B, Non-Resident Request for Refund (available by visiting https://otr.cfo.dc.gov/node/1207472). This is not supported by TT as it's not an income tax form....

I am not a TT employee. Was this helpful?
