I input my CSA 1099-R information into turbo tax. My Federal Taxable Distribution amount is less than my NJ Distribution amount since I have recouped my contributions under NJ tax laws. I indicated the higher NJ Distribution amount in Turbo Tax when inputting the 1099-R in the Federal portion of the taxes. Turbo Tax continues to change that to the Federal taxable amount (which is incorrect) and I can not change it in the NJ State return. How do I get the NJ State return to reflect the correct taxable distribution?
