Connecticut part year tax unclear how to answer: "portion of your nonresident W-2 income that is from a source within Connecticut" Is my nonresident W2, the one from MI?

Yes.  You are absolutely correct.

 

If none of the money earned in Michigan is from a Connecticut source, then you would report $0 as nonresident income earned for the CT return.

More details:

I moved to CT from MI in late June and started working in Aug.

The page title: "Nonresident Wage Allocation"
I am prompted to: "Enter the portion of your nonresident W-2 income that is from a source within Connecticut."

 

I assume that they are asking whether any of the money earned outside of CT is from a CT source, because the box on the left,  "Non-resident total" is the amount I earned in Michigan. The box on the right is what needs to be filled in is the "Connecticut Total"

Thus, I assume the box on the right should be 0, since non of my money in Michigan was from a Connecticut source. Is that right?
