Try totally deleting the input and then clearing your cookies in your browser. Then log back into your TurboTax software.  Many times, this will help clear the issue and allow you to continue.

Then go back in the state interview section of the return to try entering your code again.

  1. Continue through the screens until you see A few things before we wrap up your state taxes.
  2. Scroll down to the School district taxes section and click start.  You will be able to make your entries in this section.

I have attached a link to help you confirm which code to use for the School District Income Tax for your Ohio income tax return.

Clearing the cookies, session and localstorage cache after logging out did not solve this problem.

nothing works to get around this. and for 2020 I can't file only federal, either :(

this is the first year I'm going to have to file with something without turbotax. I can't believe they want to charge $120 and won't even provide any chat support for this issue.

i feel silly, because this issue is caused by not reading closely enough

when filing state taxes, if you have a non-taxing school district, you need to choose "do not include this school district on my return" on the next step. this fixes it. to get to the step to fix this, you have to choose the option in the top left of the return to re-do the state filing
