Can You Change Payment Option In New York After Filing

I efiled my NYS return and it's been accepted.  When I efiled, I selected the check payment option.  Can I still pay by credit card or do I have to send a check?

Yes.  Because you have to print the payment voucher and then mail the voucher with your check to the state.  The state does not know you selected to pay by check.

You can pay the New York taxes owed online using this New York Department of Finance and Taxation website - https://www.tax.ny.gov/pay/ind/pay_income_tax_online.htm
