Can't efile my NYS returns

I e-filed my Federal return and it was accepted. I only have the option to mail my NYS return even though I paid to e-file.

I get the following message "E-File is not available because your tax return includes a tax situation that can't be e-filed. " I have the following forms included with my state return, IT-201, IT-215, IT-2105.9, IT-558, IT-2105. All are available for e-filing, so why can't I e-file?

I have spoken to TT support 10 times and no one has any idea what is wrong.

I was told to print out my return and sign and date it then scan and upload it to documents, which I did, but there is no way to e-file my uploaded signed return.

Please help!

Thanks.

Per NYS, you're required to electronically file your return only if you meet all three of the following conditions:

  • You use software to prepare your own personal income tax return
  • Your software supports the electronic filing of your return (including all forms necessary)
  • You have broadband Internet access.

Since you do not meet all three of the above conditions, you can mail your return.

NYS does not assess a penalty for mailing in your return.

If you are NOT including a payment, mail your return to:

STATE PROCESSING CENTER

PO BOX 61000

ALBANY NY 12261-0001

If you ARE including a payment (check or money order), mail your return (including Form IT-201-V) to:

STATE PROCESSING CENTER

PO BOX 15555

ALBANY NY 12212-5555

TT must be aware of this issue. Why is it a problem now?  I was able to e file with TT for the last several yeas.  They should fix it  or give me a refund.  They should cut back on the money they give to advertise on the NFL games and fix their software issues.

You are posting on an old thread. What sort of problem are you having?

This answer is actually not accurate smh. I’ve met all three below it’s actually a turbo tax problem and nys is requiring the state to paper file returns they have the last 3 years due to the disaster form and amount sent out and not received by many. I am an accountant and know this
