Can someone help with VA state returns? I'm seeing discrepancies in the credits details between 'kickstart' and after answering the questions.

At 'kickstart' I was credited with a 'Spouse adjustment' but penalized with an 'Addition to tax'. After answering the questions, the 'adjustment' was removed and the 'Addition' was increased. After reviewing my answers the 'Addition' was also removed. Any idea?

The program started with what it expected and you answered questions to get to the truth. The key is to determine if what you are seeing is correct. Please see page 13 of 760 Instructions for Spouse Tax Adjustment. Additions are page 18.
