Yes, but not until February 11th, tentatively.

You can print New York City Form NYC-1127, Form for Nonresident Employees of the City of New York Hired on or after January 4, 1973, but it can't be electronically filed.

The form will be tentatively available on the TurboTax program on February 11th.

Please see the TurboTax Help article State forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax productsfor additional information.

Taxpayers file Form NYC-1127 if they work for the City of New York but live outside New York City and were hired on or after January 4, 1973.

The 1127 is still showing unsupported at the moment. Once it changes to the word available, it will be actually available. You can check State form availability

You can see the form at Personal Income Tax and Non-Resident Employees - NYC.gov. The site has FAQ and shows last year's information. NY has not updated their site yet.

We wait for them to finalize the NYC form.

When you are preparing your NYS return, there is a screen that says Take a Look at NY Credits and Taxes. At the very bottom of that screen is a heading that says NYC Nonresident Employees Employment Taxes (NYC-1127). This is where you will complete this form.

Proceed with the interview until you reach the screen Print and File Form NYC-1127. There you will be able to print out your form. Form 1127 isn't e-filed with your return, it gets printed and mailed.

Dave that's actually not showing at all for me, even under NYS other taxes tab.

if you indicated anywhere in your return that you were a NYC resident, that form will not appear. You must indicate that you were not a NYC non-resident for it to work. Here is what it looks like on the bottom of the  Take a look at New York credits and taxes section.

I was a Part year resident on NYC before moving out of state. is that's why it's not showing up? if that's the case, Can I manually generate it through turbotax?

No. If you were a part-year NYC and NYS resident, you have to ensure that you marked yourself as a NYC resident on part-year NYS tax return.

To ensure you're marked as a part-year NYC resident, please follow these steps:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Click on State on the left hand side.
  3. Click Edit next to your New York return.
  4. Click Update next to New York City and Yonkers info and allocations
  5. Click Edit to update your NYC residency.
  6. Click Done with Residency Info.

Once this is complete, TurboTax will give you the option of completing Form 1127 as described above by DaveF1006.

Hi Lena. I actually completed the NYC  allocation portion, the 1127 is still not showing.

If you completed the allocation, you should be able to print the form out from TurboTax.   Have you tried to print it yet?   When you print, the federal forms show up first and you have to scroll down to get to the state forms.    And as mentioned above, the form can't be e-filed.    @BahaaeldinAhmed

Actually I did, I didn't get the 1127 tab as Dave's screenshot showed, I've also checked the new york forms under the  tools section, still nothing there.

@ BahaaeldinAhmed The link to Form 1127 is at the bottom of the screen Take a look at New York credits and taxes beneath the last section on your screenshot. Have you scrolled all the way down? If you are not seeing it, you may to adjust your display or try another browser.

I see Form 1127 in the forms list. You can check by:

  • Clicking Tax Tools in the left column
  • Clicking Tools
  • Selecting Delete a Form in Tools Center
  • Scrolling down to NYC-1127 Copy 1

Ernie I checked it on my laptop as well and still the same, the page ends here. I also checked my generated forms list under tools>delete form, NYC 1127 is not there either.

I have the same issue this year.  It doesn't show up under Other Taxes and credits.

@hhshull I ended up filing myself on paper with DOF that year, Turbotax didn’t resolve that issue.

The New York (NY) form 1127 will not be available until 01/26/2023.  Please review the available forms to check the status.

Yes, you can fill out an NYC-1127 on TurboTax but it is available to print only.  E-filing the NYC 1127 is not supported.  Manually enter the allocation for NYC and print and mail the NYC-1127.  The form became available for printing on January 26, 2023.
