Can I file the 2nd non-resident state tax separately outside of TurboTax to save some money on buying and e-filing it?

I am a resident of the state of Arizona, but I have to file a non-resident tax for Massachusetts. To save costs of buying a 2nd state and e-filing MA tax on TurboTax which totals to about $65 ($40 + $25 to e-file). I was thinking to file for free on a separate platform like 1040Now since my MA tax is vert small and not worth spending the extra cost to do it in TT.

Yes.  But, you'll have to manually enter the info, from the MA return, in TT, to get the credit AZ gives you for the tax paid to another state.

I'm not familiar with the AZ software, specifically, but on all the states I am familiar with, it's one simple screen. You enter the amount of double taxed income and the amount of tax paid to the other state.  TT does the rest.
