CA 540 California Adjustments Form Part II Line 10 Col B calculation is correct but turbotax won't let me continue and file without throwing a check this entry error.

They screwed up something on the Schedule CA math.  The form is available now but the fix is on TT end and won't be available until the 6th so some of what they told you isn't exactly true.

Same issue - Hit transmit. Get message stating "We Need to Make One More Check" "Everything looks great...." "But before you file, we need a little more information that we didn't need earlier". Hit Continue and it requests checking "Schedule CA:  Part II, Line 10, Col B must equal line 9. (210)". You can't change it, as it came from the Fed. Hit continue. And now met with "Schedule CA:  Part II, Line 8e, Col A must equal the total of column A, line 8a, 8b, and line 8c. (180)". The problem here is TurboTax ignores 8d - Mortgage insurance premiums - in the calculation, so the formula fails. The form itself, on your screen, says "Add lines 8a through 8d", not stop at 8c. Someone at TurboTax dropped the ball on releasing this delayed form. Please FIX ASAP.

Edited: I just posted that I was having a very similar problem. Just for kicks, I went back and tried it again. (for the record, I've tried at least a half-dozen times in the last few days without success, just kept getting the "one more thing" message). THIS time my return went through. It's possible they could have fixed the glitch; I certainly can't say for sure but ?????

ok you guys, i talked to a turbotax live specialist and for CA residents we are unable to file because they havent updated that part of their taxes. We can file our CA taxes until February 6th!

For those of us that had to pay for an expert to try to figure out what was going on just for them to find out it was a software issue will we get a refund?

As of 1/31/20 at 11:30am PST, this glitch still exists.  Errrrrr. So annoyed that I have to wait until 2/6 to fix this. Is there a way to e-file just my federal return in the meantime?

@jesusvasquez01  let me know what they tell you on your refund. I think its crazy that they dont tell (at least CA customers) about this! its ridiculous how much we already pay for stuff here

Same here. This needs to be fixed since they were willing to charge my card but not inform me they’re math is incorrect.

Same issue here.  Will be looking into a different tax program next year for sure.  This is a simple math fix.  TT you are really blowing it with your CA customers.
