I am trying to amend my 2022 CA taxes with an out of state purchase I did not realize wasn't taxed. I am getting an error on my amendment form that says "Schedule X: Line 1 must be blank since Form 540, line 111 in blank." If Line 1 on the CA explanation of amended return charges form is not where I input what I owe, how and where do I stick this information?
The sales tax rate at the time of purchase was 9.50%, so I do know how much I am supposed to owe.
